I love the idea behind this tester and was so excited to use it. It seems to be accurate for soil PH, light, and soil temperature, but everything I've tried in for shows the soil is dry+, even pots I thoroughly watered hours ago. Am I doing something wrong, or did I get a dud?

Can’t get an accurate moisture reading while using in my potted Meyers lemon tree. After watering and trying various depths it kept showing very dry when I knew it wasn’t. I’ve been having trouble finding an accurate moisture meter as I was hoping this would be it.
